Islamic calligraphy is a practice almost as old as time. It is an art form that connects beauty, skill, and tradition. Online classes by AK Art & Calligraphy are the most effective way to learn how to write in calligraphy. There are seven different styles of calligraphy in Islamic calligraphy. The courses will teach the first four that are essential knowledge, and each one’s course will be a month long. The first course will go over the first of those four, which is the easiest for calligraphy for beginners. After four months of classes covering the four first Islamic scripts, you will have a solid base of knowledge of calligraphy and a new art skillset. As your instructor, Arman will teach you basic calligraphy strokes, the alphabet, words, and phrases. During each class, you will make calligraphy projects you can keep and display in your home. These classes will be held online twice a week, with each session lasting one and a half hours. The online sessions will be conducted via Skype or Zoom. Learning calligraphy online through a live class allows for the opportunity to ask questions and receive immediate answers. The capacity for each online class is fifteen students.
