Arman is from Kabul, Afghanistan. He is fluent in Arabic, Dari, and Pashto and makes calligraphic works in these languages. He uses the saying, "God is beautiful and loves beauty" as his guiding inspiration.

 

When he was in the seventh grade, his calligraphy teacher recognized his talent for the art form. From there, his talent flourished into a hobby that became a career. Before his career as an artist began, he was a university lecturer and a journalist in Afghanistan for Equal Access America. Besides making art on paper, he is a well-known pianist and keyboardist.
